Cassandra is the co-owner of Collins Scarborough CPAs, PLLC, a strategic accounting and advisory firm serving nonprofits and service-based organizations across Virginia. With nearly three decades of experience, Cassandra provides executive oversight, technical expertise, and long-range financial guidance that empowers clients to make informed decisions based on accurate and timely financial information. She is also deeply committed to developing the next generation of accounting professionals by investing in college students majoring in the field and strengthening the accountant pipeline through mentorship, exposure, and hands-on learning opportunities.
Cassandra is the founder and owner of Scarborough CPA, an accounting practice established in June 2012 and recognized for delivering high-quality bookkeeping, financial reporting, and consulting services. She supports a diverse portfolio of organizations—including churches, education foundations, other nonprofit entities, and community-based Medicaid agencies—by strengthening their financial infrastructure and ensuring alignment with professional and regulatory standards. Known for her progressive leadership, Cassandra is committed to automating manual processes and creating operational efficiencies that benefit both clients and staff.
Cassandra also serves as the Executive Director of Support One, Inc., a Richmond-based 501(c)(3) that provides residential and community-integration supports for adults with developmental disabilities. Since 2015, she has overseen the organization’s strategic planning, financial stewardship, licensure compliance, and capital improvement initiatives. Support One currently employs 50 staff members, serves 23 adults with disabilities, and operates 5 homes across the Richmond and Henrico communities. Under her leadership, the organization has strengthened community partnerships, expanded quality-of-life programming, and enhanced operational systems that support individuals and caregivers.
A licensed CPA since 2000, Cassandra earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Virginia Commonwealth University and is a long-standing member of the Virginia Society of CPAs. Her leadership style is progressive, collaborative, and grounded in clarity, efficiency, and service excellence.
Cassandra also extends her expertise to the broader community as the Treasurer and Board Member of the JP Jumpers Foundation, supporting autism awareness, inclusion, and community engagement through strategic financial oversight and fundraising leadership.
